Located in one of the most enviable positions on the north Cornwall coast, the Metropole offers stunning sea and harbour views over Padstow and boasts delicious AA rosette dining in the Harbour Restaurant. Their afternoon tea comes with a pot of loose leaf tea, a selection of sandwiches, two scones, locally made strawberry preserve, Cornish clotted cream and various cakes and biscuits. Champagne afternoon tea is also available for £37.95 for two.
Rectory Farm Tearooms

The Rectory is located in the small rural parish of Morwenstow, overlooking the rugged coastline of North Cornwall. Built in the 13th Century the house is filled with character; from the antique furnishings and slate floors, to the open fires and original Oak Beams salvaged from the many ships wrecked along the North Cornwall coastline. The award winning tea rooms provide afternoon teas with almost all food homemade on premises. The tea room closes for winter so check their website for latest opening hours.
St Moritz Hotel

Located in Trebetherick, with views across the stunning Camel Estuary and Atlantic Ocean, close to Rock and Padstow and within five minutes of the beaches at Daymer Bay and Polzeath, St Moritz is the perfect destination for a relaxing afternoon tea. Expect fancy cakes, finger sandwiches, perfect macaroons and homemade scones, all with a modern St Moritz twist. Complement it with your choice of speciality tea, or, if you’re feeling really indulgent, a glass of champagne. Their current website doesn't mention afternoon tea so call them for more information.
Miss V’s Vintage High tea

Miss V’s is located on the ‘Old Nursery’ grounds next to the beautiful St Just-in-Roseland church. It’s set amongst semi-tropical gardens on the riverbank of the Fal estuary and is easily accessed from the coastal path to St Mawes. They have outside seating and a Gazebo for shelter from rain or sun. Their cream teas are highly regarded and they were listed on Cornwall Life’s Top 5 Cream Teas in Cornwall. Miss V’s traditional Cornish cream & afternoon teas come with freshly baked homemade scones, homemade jam and Trewithen Dairy Cornish cream. They also specialise in tea parties, weddings and events.

The Scarlet was designed as a grown-ups only escape, a place to spend time together very simply, sharing laughter and watching the sea. Afternoon tea can be enjoyed every day between 3-5pm in the stunning restaurant, by the fire in the Lobby Lounge or alfresco on the terrace during summer days. The homemade cakes and pastries are delicate and delicious, from gorgeous macaroons to strawberry cupcakes. The scones are served with our homemade jam and local clotted cream. The sandwiches – made from artisan bread – are made to order. The tea, the only grown in the UK, is from the local Tregothnan estate.
