Cream is placed in an insulated package along with an ice pack to keep it cool. The hamper is then posted by 1st Class Royal Mail (next day). The cream is provided to us already blast frozen by Roddas and remains frozen until the day of dispatch. During transit the cream thaws and should be placed in the fridge as soon as the package arrives. It is therefore very important that the recipient is available to receive the delivery. If the recipient the postman will use their own judgement as to what to do with the parcel. We cannot be held responsible for the delivery of the parcel should it be left with a neighbour or in a safe place.
You need to order before 11am to get it dispatched on the same day.
Chilled items aren't dispatched on a Friday (or Thursday when Friday is a bank holiday) to avoid weekend lock ups for fresh products.
Ordering for future delivery
You can choose a delivery date during checkout. This date isn't guaranteed but is used by us to control the dispatch date.
Royal Mail 1st class post usually always arrives the next working day (93%) but sometimes it can take 2 days. If the hamper is left travelling for any longer than 2 days we can send out fresh cream and scones at our expense. We cannot be held responsible for parcels not delivered or collected due to incorrect delivery information being provided, if the recipient is out or away, or in the unlikely event your parcel is delayed through no fault of our own.
Where do we deliver to?
Hampers not containing scones or cream can be delivered to anywhere in the UK.
We cannot deliver scones and cream to the following postcodes as the travel time is often to long: (GY1 Herm only (Channel Islands), GY9 Sark (Channel Islands), HS2 Lewis, PA61 Colonsay, PA62-75 Mull, PA78 Coll, ZE2-3 Shetlands, KW16-17 Orkney, PH30 Corrour, PH41 Mallaig, PH42 Eigg & Muck, PH43-44 Rhum & Canna)
All hampers are gift wrapped by hand and placed in a secure outer box.
