How is my Cream Tea packed and delivered?

Each hamper is packed thoughtfully by hand with care, quality and a smile! Our Cream teas by Post arrive in eco-friendly packaging, hand stamped with the Cornish Hampers logo so you know you’re getting the real deal.

Internally we add paper-based packing straw – good for the environment and perfect for protecting your scones while keeping everything looking lovely. When the sun is out, we include an ice pack to help our beloved Roddas clotted cream travel comfortably. And because many of our hampers are gifts, you’ll never find any receipts or invoicing inside the box – just a traditional Cornish Cream Tea with your personal message.

Do you add Gift messages to your Cornish Hampers? 

Absolutely – and we do it with a Cornish twist! Instead of a plain card, we include a beautiful postcard featuring one of our favourite Cornish landscapes. Each postcard comes with a little note about the scene, so you can share in a piece of Cornwall’s heritage.

On the back, we add your personal message next to a stamp and postage mark – just like a postcard you’d send yourself. There are four different designs, added at random… so you’ll need at least four cream teas to collect them all! Want a sneak peek? What is the Cornish way to have a Cream Tea?

It’s all about the Jam! We’ll include a handy guide in your hamper, but here’s a sneak peek at the steps:

How long will my Cream Tea last?

For the very best taste and texture, we recommend enjoying your scones and clotted cream within 4 days of despatch.

But here’s the good news – with a little care, they can last longer! Clotted cream keeps beautifully when stored correctly, just pop it in the fridge and keep it covered. Scones are happiest in an airtight container, stored in a cool place away from sunlight.

When you picture a hamper, a classic wicker basket often comes to mind—and yes, you can choose a traditional lidded wicker hamper. Or, for something different, opt for our elegant red-trim wicker tray, hand-wrapped in cellophane for that extra special touch. Both are beautifully made and designed to be reused for years to come.
